How many people does a kilo of cake serve?

Around ten pastry portions, which is the 100-gram slice: the one served after a meal, not as a main course.

With the usual caveat: on very small cakes the yield drops. A one-kilo cake, cut with family generosity, may serve six or eight. That is why on small pieces we talk about a range rather than a fixed number.
