What size do I need, and how many people does it serve?
Choose by number of guests, not by kilos. For small cakes, a two-kilo cake serves 10 to 15 people. Above two kilos we count 100 grams per person, so a five-kilo cake serves about 50 and a ten-kilo cake about 100. In the online shop you pick the number of servings and the size sorts itself out.
Think in people, not kilos
Nobody orders "three kilos of cake". They order a cake for the twenty people coming to dinner. That is how our catalogue works too: you choose the number of servings and we work out the rest.
The two rules
- Small cakes. A two-kilo cake serves between 10 and 15 people.
- Above two kilos. We count 100 grams per person. Larger cakes yield better, because there is proportionally less edge and more middle.

A word about tall numbers
Past a certain size we will suggest tiers rather than one enormous cake, both because it looks better and because a single ten-kilo piece is genuinely hard to move and to cut.
