Do the cakes contain alcohol?

In short

Eight of the twelve do: expresso, trufa, rompope with coconut, sacher torte, mont blanc, controy, black forest and moka. The four free of alcohol are the blueberry cheesecake, the apple and carrot, the amaretto and the nutella cake.

Eight of the twelve flavours are laced. These are them:

  • Expresso, with brandy.
  • Trufa, with brandy.
  • Rompope with coconut, with rompope.
  • Sacher torte, with brandy.
  • Mont Blanc, with brandy.
  • Controy, with orange liqueur.
  • Black forest, with brandy.
  • Moka, with brandy.

The four with nothing in them are the blueberry cheesecake, the apple and carrot, the amaretto and the nutella cake.

It is common in the European pastry tradition we come from: the liqueur goes into the syrup or the filling and brings aroma more than any taste of alcohol.

If the cake is for children, for someone pregnant, or for someone who does not drink, say so when you order and we will point you to the ones that are free of it. The full list is in what flavours we offer.
